Illustration - painters and mediums

This is probably the hobby I’ve spent the most time on. It started with drawing Minecraft cats in 3rd grade and slowly grew into illustrating characters from my favorite franchises. I try to experiment with as many mediums as I can— watercolor, gouache, markers, I think the texture of each can expand or change the vibe of a drawing.

"The Count of Monte Cristo" Mead Schaeffer -- (1928)

Some of my favourite artists are Yoshitoshi ABe, Mead Schaeffer, and Hinata Takeda. I really admire how they capture a character’s relationship with their environment.

Literature - genres and authors

Gothic literature has a permanent place in my heart, not just for the aesthetic, but for how some stories center on the taboo; incest, rape, and tokophobia.

I’m also drawn to murder-mystery and psychological horror. I love being a silent spectator trying to figure out what's going on along side the characters and feeling that thrill of suspense when nearing the story's climax. Some of my favourite authors are Fyodor Dostoevsky, Nick Cutter, and Ryukishi07.

The maned wolf is a large South American canine but is neither fox or wolf. It's the only species in the genus Chrysocyon.
Edutourism - zoology, anthropology, geography

I’m fascinated by how geography shapes both people and wildlife, how environments leave their mark on culture, appearance, and ecosystems.

I want to travel more to see it all, though I'm not particularly picky about where I go next, I’d love my next visit be to either Greece, Germany or Brazil.

So far, I’ve traveled to Türkiye, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, United States, and United Kingdom. I’m hoping that list keeps growing.

Fashion - style, brands, sewing
"Stormveil" handmade by the brand Stein in Solitude, my all time favorite piece by her.

I love expressing myself through clothing, usually leaning into feminine or grunge aesthetics—subcul jirai, lolita, and dark boho chic.

With a background in sewing, I like paying attention to the small details in garments and learning from how they’re made, especially from indie brands.

Some of my favourites are Stein in Solitude, Le Carrousel, and Distant Melody.

1. Please introduce yourself.
I think I'm quite shy at first but once the ice melts I'm quite out-there..
2. How long have you been making websites?
This is my first ever static website, in the past I have experimented with Spacehey, Carrd.co, and Strawpage.
3. And what got you into the hobby?

4. What kind of website are you most interested in?
One with interesting layouts, webmasters, or content about obsure things.
5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?
I place down shapes of an idea onto MS paint, then create the html, then I go back to MS paint to plan out the css.
6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.
Lucy - The way she utilizes CSS is so tuff, I really strive to be as creative as this and give nuance to a style like she did with goth.

Nys - I first found her site when looking through rice.place's bannerclub. I was so drawn! Outside of how moe and gothic it is, there's so many shared interests that I felt shun for TT..

Malune - There's so many effects done that inspire me, it's also so unapologetically otaku and geeky and I feel less embarrassed to embrace that side of myself, I wanna interact with the community being built there more! ^^

Heya I'm Vrelle. ♀ 2005 ISFJ

I made this site on March 12, 2026 to engage with the internet, cuz social media intimidates me #lol

I was first introduced to coding in the summer of 2024 when I discovered spacehey (HATED IT) but dropped it after a month or two. Then I found the indie web space at the end of 2025 and picked up the hobby once again...
